Born on May 12, 1939, in Vienna, Austria, Kozub showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Kozub's musical education began at the Vienna Music Academy, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and composer, Friedrich Gulda. Kozub's talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and he quickly became one of Gulda's most promising students. After completing his studies at the Vienna Music Academy, Kozub embarked on a successful career as a concert pianist. He performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States, earning critical acclaim for his virtuosic performances and his ability to interpret a wide range of musical styles. One of Kozub's most significant achievements was his performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 73, also known as the "Emperor" concerto. Kozub's interpretation of this iconic piece of music was widely praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth. The performance earned Kozub a standing ovation and cemented his reputation as one of the world's leading pianists.
