Ismael Pons-Tena is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on May 12, 1985, in Valencia, Spain, Ismael showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents, who were both music teachers, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Ismael's musical journey began at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo in Valencia, where he studied piano under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Carles Marín. He later went on to study at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. Ismael's talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and he quickly gained recognition as a rising star in the classical music world. He won several awards and competitions, including the First Prize at the International Piano Competition "Ciudad de Albacete" in 2003 and the First Prize at the International Piano Competition "Ciudad de Linares" in 2004. In 2005, Ismael was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where he received his Master's degree in Piano Performance. During his time at Juilliard, Ismael had the opportunity to study under some of the world's most renowned pianists, including Emanuel Ax, Yoheved Kaplinsky, and Robert McDonald. Ismael's talent and hard work paid off, and he quickly gained recognition as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. He has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Ismael has also collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has worked with some of the most renowned conductors of our time, including Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, and Gustavo Dudamel. One of the highlights of Ismael's career was his performance at the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway. He was invited to perform alongside some of the world's most renowned musicians, including Herbie Hancock, Florence and the Machine, and Robyn. Ismael's repertoire is diverse and includes works by some of the world's greatest composers, including Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. He is also a champion of contemporary music and has premiered works by some of today's most exciting composers. In addition to his performing career, Ismael is also a dedicated teacher and has taught at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
