St. Martin's Chamber Choir is a classical music ensemble based in Denver, Colorado. The choir was founded in 1994 by Timothy J. Krueger, who remains the artistic director and conductor to this day. The group is known for its exceptional performances of choral music from the Renaissance to the present day. The choir's name is inspired by St. Martin of Tours, a fourth-century bishop who is known for his generosity and compassion. The choir's mission is to share the beauty and power of choral music with audiences in Colorado and beyond. St. Martin's Chamber Choir began as a small group of singers who were passionate about choral music. Over the years, the choir has grown in size and reputation, becoming one of the most respected choral ensembles in the region. One of the highlights of the choir's early years was its performance of Bach's Mass in B Minor in 1998. This ambitious project was a major undertaking for the choir, but it was a resounding success and helped to establish the group's reputation for excellence. In the years that followed, St. Martin's Chamber Choir continued to perform a wide range of choral music, from medieval chants to contemporary works. The choir's repertoire includes works by composers such as Palestrina, Monteverdi, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Brahms, and Britten, among many others. One of the choir's most memorable performances was its 2004 concert at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver. The program featured works by Bach, including his Magnificat and Cantata 140.
