Melissa White is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a violinist, chamber musician, and educator. Born in Michigan in 1987, White began playing the violin at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. She went on to study at the Juilliard School in New York City, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music. Throughout her career, White has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Cleveland Orchestra. She has also been a member of several acclaimed chamber music ensembles, including the Harlem Quartet, which she co-founded in 2006. One of the highlights of White's career came in 2009, when she and the Harlem Quartet won the prestigious Sphinx Competition, which is dedicated to promoting diversity in classical music.
