Blagovesta Karnobatlova is a Bulgarian classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a pianist and chamber musician. Born on May 5, 1985, in the city of Sofia, Karnobatlova showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. She was enrolled in the National School of Music "Lyubomir Pipkov" in Sofia, where she received her first formal training in music. Karnobatlova's talent was quickly recognized, and she began to win awards and prizes in local and national competitions. In 1999, she won first prize in the National Competition for Young Pianists in Bulgaria, and in 2001, she won first prize in the International Competition for Young Pianists in Romania. After completing her studies at the National School of Music, Karnobatlova went on to study at the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia. There, she studied under the tutelage of Prof. Ralf Nattkemper and Prof. Volker Banfield. Karnobatlova's time in Germany was a turning point in her career, as she was exposed to new musical styles and techniques that would shape her future performances. Karnobatlova's career as a professional musician began in earnest after she completed her studies in Germany. She has since performed in numerous concerts and festivals throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. Some of her most notable performances include a solo recital at the Bulgarian Embassy in Washington, D.C., in 2010, and a performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra in 2012. Karnobatlova's repertoire is diverse and includes works by classical composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven, as well as contemporary composers such as Sofia Gubaidulina and Arvo Pärt. She is also an accomplished chamber musician and has collaborated with numerous musicians and ensembles, including the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Sofia Soloists Chamber Orchestra.
