In 2003, Mercuriale graduated from the conservatory with honors, earning a degree in piano performance and composition. He then went on to pursue a master's degree in music at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. During his time in Rome, Mercuriale had the opportunity to work with some of the most prominent musicians in the world, including conductor Antonio Pappano and pianist Martha Argerich. Mercuriale's career as a professional musician began in 2007 when he won the prestigious International Piano Competition in Geneva, Switzerland. The competition was a turning point in his career, as it brought him international recognition and opened doors to new opportunities. Following his win, Mercuriale was invited to perform at some of the most renowned concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Over the years, Mercuriale has performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors, including Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Muti, and Zubin Mehta. He is also known for his interpretations of contemporary music, having premiered several works by modern composers. In addition to his career as a performer, Mercuriale is also a respected composer.
