Born on May 15, 1985, in Vienna, Austria, Opella showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Her parents, both musicians themselves, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Opella's musical education began at the Vienna Conservatory, where she studied piano and composition. She quickly distinguished herself as a prodigious talent, winning numerous awards and accolades for her performances. Her teachers noted her exceptional musicality and technical proficiency, and predicted that she would go on to become one of the great classical musicians of her generation. After completing her studies at the Vienna Conservatory, Opella continued her education at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. There, she studied under some of the most renowned musicians in the world, including Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman. She also had the opportunity to perform in some of the city's most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
