Role:Conductor PerformerGuillermo Pérez is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born in Mexico City in 1973, Pérez showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He later went on to study at the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. After completing his studies, Pérez moved to Europe to further his musical education. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover, Germany, where he received his Master's degree in Piano Performance. During his time in Germany, Pérez also had the opportunity to study with renowned pianists such as Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and András Schiff. Pérez's talent as a pianist quickly became evident, and he began to receive invitations to perform at major music festivals and concert halls around the world. In 1999, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Senigallia, Italy, which helped to launch his career as a soloist. Since then, Pérez has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also given recitals at major concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Pérez's repertoire is wide-ranging, and he is equally at home performing works by classical composers such as Mozart and Beethoven as he is with contemporary composers such as John Adams and Philip Glass. He has also recorded several albums, including a critically acclaimed recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations. In addition to his work as a performer, Pérez is also a dedicated teacher. He has taught at several music schools and conservatories around the world, including the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. In 2003, he was awarded the Order of the Aztec Eagle, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a foreigner by the Mexican government.
