Schott's talent was recognized early on, and he won several awards and scholarships during his studies. In 1949, Schott made his debut as a soloist with the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra. This performance marked the beginning of his successful career as a concert pianist. Schott's performances were characterized by his technical brilliance and his ability to convey the emotional depth of the music. Schott's career took him all over the world, and he performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras and conductors. He played with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra, among others.
