Crash Ensemble is a contemporary classical music group based in Dublin, Ireland. The ensemble was founded in 1997 by composer Donnacha Dennehy and a group of young musicians who were interested in exploring new sounds and pushing the boundaries of classical music. The group's name, Crash Ensemble, reflects their desire to create music that is both energetic and unpredictable. They are known for their innovative approach to classical music, which often incorporates elements of rock, jazz, and electronic music. Over the years, Crash Ensemble has become one of the most respected and influential contemporary classical music groups in Ireland and beyond.
