Lora Tchekoratova is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on December 22, 1971, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Lora showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Lora's early years were spent studying music at the National School of Music in Sofia, where she received a solid foundation in classical music. She continued her studies at the State Academy of Music in Sofia, where she earned a degree in piano performance. During her time at the academy, Lora was mentored by some of the most respected musicians in Bulgaria, including Professor Krassimir Gatev and Professor Milena Mollova. After completing her studies, Lora began performing professionally, quickly establishing herself as a talented and versatile pianist. She performed extensively throughout Bulgaria, playing in some of the country's most prestigious concert halls and festivals. Under Fleisher's guidance, Lora honed her skills and developed a deeper understanding of the nuances of classical music. During her time at Peabody, Lora won several awards and accolades, including the prestigious Yale Gordon Concerto Competition and the Peabody Concerto Competition.
