She then went on to study at the Korean National University of Arts, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Music. In 2012, Ji Young Lim moved to Germany to continue her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. During her time in Germany, Ji Young Lim won several awards, including the first prize at the International Violin Competition Henri Marteau and the first prize at the International Violin Competition Kloster Schöntal.
