Rosario Gomez was born on May 12, 1985, in Madrid, Spain. She was born into a family of musicians, with her father being a renowned classical guitarist and her mother a pianist. From a young age, Rosario was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Rosario's parents recognized her talent and enrolled her in the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid. She excelled in her studies and quickly became a prodigy, winning numerous competitions and awards. At the age of 12, she made her debut as a soloist with the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21. Rosario continued her studies at the conservatory and later attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied under the renowned pianist, Emanuel Ax. During her time at Juilliard, Rosario won several competitions, including the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. After graduating from Juilliard, Rosario embarked on a successful career as a concert pianist, performing in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. She has collaborated with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Rosario's repertoire is vast and includes works by some of the greatest composers in history, including Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. She is particularly known for her interpretations of the works of Spanish composers, such as Manuel de Falla and Isaac Albéniz. In addition to her concert career, Rosario is also a dedicated teacher and has taught at several prestigious music schools, including the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid and the Juilliard School. She is passionate about passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation of musicians. Throughout her career, Rosario has received numerous awards and accolades. In 2010, she was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians.
