Luana DeVol was born on May 15, 1985, in New York City. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Luana showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As she grew older, Luana became more interested in classical music and began studying the violin. She quickly became proficient in the instrument and began performing in local orchestras and chamber groups. Her talent was recognized by her teachers and peers, and she was encouraged to pursue a career in music. After graduating from high school, Luana attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied under some of the most renowned violinists in the world. She quickly established herself as a rising star in the classical music world, and her performances were praised for their technical skill and emotional depth. In 2007, Luana made her debut as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic, performing the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. The performance was a resounding success, and Luana was praised for her virtuosity and musicality. She went on to perform with many other major orchestras, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. Over the years, Luana has received numerous awards and accolades for her performances. In 2010, she was awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is given to outstanding young musicians who show exceptional promise for the future. She has also been a recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship, which is often referred to as the "genius grant." In addition to her work as a soloist, Luana is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has performed with some of the most renowned chamber groups in the world, including the Emerson String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. Luana is also a dedicated teacher, and she has taught master classes at some of the most prestigious music schools in the world, including the Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music.
