Trinity College of Music Wind Orchestra is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1991. The ensemble is based in London, United Kingdom, and is composed of students and alumni of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. The founding of Trinity College of Music Wind Orchestra was a result of the vision of its first conductor, John Paynter. Paynter was a renowned British composer and conductor who was passionate about wind music. He believed that wind music was an important part of the classical music repertoire and that it deserved more recognition. With this in mind, he founded the Trinity College of Music Wind Orchestra to provide a platform for young musicians to showcase their talent and to promote wind music. The ensemble's main members are students and alumni of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. The ensemble is composed of woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments, and its repertoire includes a wide range of classical music, from traditional wind band music to contemporary compositions.
