Tina Milhorn Stallard is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born on August 22, 1963, in Bristol, Virginia, Stallard grew up in a family that was passionate about music. Her father was a music teacher, and her mother was a pianist. Stallard's parents recognized her talent for music at an early age and encouraged her to pursue it. Stallard began her musical journey by learning to play the piano at the age of five. She quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument and began performing in public at the age of six. Stallard's parents recognized her potential and enrolled her in the preparatory program at the East Tennessee State University School of Music. Stallard continued to excel in her musical studies and went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Tennessee. She then pursued a Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Stallard's dedication and hard work paid off when she won the prestigious Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition in 1987. Stallard's talent and hard work continued to be recognized, and she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Vienna, Austria. While in Vienna, Stallard studied with renowned pianist Paul Badura-Skoda and performed in numerous concerts throughout Europe. Upon returning to the United States, Stallard began her career as a concert pianist. She has performed with numerous orchestras, including the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, and the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra. Stallard has also performed in solo recitals throughout the United States and Europe. Stallard's performances have been praised for their technical brilliance and emotional depth. She has been described as a "virtuoso pianist" and a "musical poet." Stallard's repertoire includes works by classical composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, and Chopin, as well as contemporary composers such as John Adams and Philip Glass. Stallard has also been recognized for her contributions to music education. She has served as a faculty member at the University of Tennessee, the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and the University of Virginia. Stallard has also given masterclasses and workshops throughout the United States and Europe. Stallard's contributions to the world of music have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 1991, she was awarded the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts Outstanding Alumnus Award. In 1995, she was awarded the University of Tennessee School of Music Outstanding Alumnus Award. Stallard was also a finalist in the 1997 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Stallard's dedication to music and her talent as a pianist have made her a beloved figure in the world of classical music. Her performances continue to inspire and delight audiences around the world.
