Bläservereinigung Berlin is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1988 in Berlin, Germany. The ensemble is made up of some of the most talented wind and brass musicians in the country, and has become known for its innovative and exciting performances of classical music. The founding members of Bläservereinigung Berlin were all graduates of the Berlin University of the Arts, and shared a passion for chamber music and the wind and brass repertoire. They decided to form an ensemble that would focus on this type of music, and began rehearsing together regularly. Over the years, Bläservereinigung Berlin has grown in size and reputation, and now includes a core group of 12 musicians, as well as guest performers who join the ensemble for specific performances. The ensemble's members are all highly skilled musicians who have performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras and ensembles in Germany and around the world. One of the highlights of Bläservereinigung Berlin's career was its performance at the Berlin Philharmonic in 1992. The ensemble was invited to perform as part of the Philharmonic's chamber music series, and received rave reviews for its performance of works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms. In addition to its performances in Germany, Bläservereinigung Berlin has also toured extensively throughout Europe and Asia. The ensemble has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo. Bläservereinigung Berlin has also been recognized for its outstanding performances with a number of awards and honors. In 1995, the ensemble was awarded the German Record Critics' Award for its recording of works by Mozart and Beethoven. The ensemble has also been nominated for several Echo Klassik awards, which are among the most prestigious awards in the classical music industry. Despite its many accomplishments, Bläservereinigung Berlin remains committed to its original mission of promoting the wind and brass repertoire and bringing innovative and exciting performances of classical music to audiences around the world. The ensemble continues to perform regularly and to collaborate with other musicians and ensembles in order to create new and exciting works of music.
