Michele Kalmandi is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on May 12, 1985, in Milan, Italy, Kalmandi showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents, who were both music enthusiasts, encouraged him to pursue his passion for music, and he began taking piano lessons with a local teacher. In 2007, Kalmandi graduated from the Accademia di Santa Cecilia with honors, and his exceptional performance earned him a scholarship to study at the Juilliard School in New York City. At Juilliard, Kalmandi continued to refine his skills and develop his unique style. He had the opportunity to work with some of the most renowned pianists and teachers in the world, including Emanuel Ax, Yoheved Kaplinsky, and Robert McDonald. During his time at Juilliard, Kalmandi participated in numerous concerts and recitals, showcasing his talent and earning critical acclaim. He also won several awards, including the prestigious Gina Bachauer Piano Competition in 2010. His exceptional performance in the competition earned him international recognition and established him as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. After graduating from Juilliard in 2011, Kalmandi embarked on a successful career as a concert pianist. He has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
