Orquesta La Pasión is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2004 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The group was formed by a group of musicians who shared a passion for classical music and a desire to bring it to a wider audience. The ensemble's main members include conductor and pianist Daniel Barenboim, violinist Michael Barenboim, cellist Kian Soltani, and clarinetist Jörg Widmann. These musicians are all highly accomplished in their respective fields and have performed with some of the world's leading orchestras and ensembles. Orquesta La Pasión has performed at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. The ensemble has also collaborated with some of the world's leading soloists, including Martha Argerich, Yo-Yo Ma, and Anne-Sophie Mutter. One of the highlights of Orquesta La Pasión's career was their performance at the 2014 BBC Proms in London. The ensemble performed a program of works by Beethoven, including his Symphony No. 9, which was met with critical acclaim. Orquesta La Pasión has also been recognized for their outstanding performances with several awards and honors. In 2015, the ensemble was awarded the Echo Klassik Award for their recording of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto. The following year, they received the International Classical Music Award for their recording of Schubert's Octet.
