Alexandra Oomens is a classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the world of opera. Born in the Netherlands, Oomens grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. She studied at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and later at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree. Oomens made her professional debut in 2012 as Barbarina in Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro" at the Dutch National Opera. Since then, she has performed in numerous productions in Europe and the United States. Some of her most notable roles include Susanna in "Le nozze di Figaro," Zerlina in "Don Giovanni," and Pamina in "Die Zauberflöte." In 2016, Oomens won first prize at the International Vocal Competition in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. This award helped to launch her career and led to more opportunities to perform on the international stage. She has also been a finalist in several other competitions, including the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition and the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg. One of Oomens' most memorable performances was in the role of Susanna in "Le nozze di Figaro" at the Glyndebourne Festival in 2018. The production was directed by Michael Grandage and conducted by Robin Ticciati.
