The Royal Northern College of Music Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Manchester, England. It was founded in 1973 as the Northern School of Music Orchestra, and was later renamed the Royal Northern College of Music Orchestra in 1976 when it became part of the newly established Royal Northern College of Music. The ensemble is made up of students from the Royal Northern College of Music, which is one of the leading conservatoires in the UK. The orchestra is conducted by a number of different conductors, including the college's own staff and visiting conductors.
