Anne-Marie Ludwig continued her musical education at the Vienna Conservatory, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Paul Badura-Skoda. In 1970, Anne-Marie Ludwig won first prize at the International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna, which launched her career as a concert pianist. She went on to perform in major concert halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Anne-Marie Ludwig was known for her exceptional technique and musicality, particularly in her interpretations of the works of Beethoven, Mozart, and Schubert. She was also a champion of contemporary music and premiered works by composers such as György Ligeti and Karlheinz Stockhausen.
