Artist Info
Charlotte Norholt is a Danish classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the world of opera and concert singing. Born on May 22, 1982, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Norholt grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a pianist, and her mother was a singer, so it was only natural that Norholt would develop an interest in music at a young age. Norholt began her musical training at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where she studied voice under the tutelage of renowned vocal coach Susanna Eken. She also studied at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg in Austria, where she honed her skills in opera and concert singing. Norholt's talent and dedication to her craft soon caught the attention of the music world, and she began to receive invitations to perform at major venues and events. In 2006, she made her debut at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, where she played the role of Barbarina in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro." This performance was a major milestone in Norholt's career, as it marked her first appearance on a major opera stage. Over the years, Norholt has performed in a wide range of operas and concerts, both in Denmark and abroad. Some of her most notable performances include her portrayal of Zerlina in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" at the Royal Danish Opera, her performance as Gretel in Humperdinck's "Hansel and Gretel" at the Aarhus Theatre in Denmark, and her role as Susanna in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" at the Bergen National Opera in Norway. Norholt has also received numerous awards and accolades for her work in the music industry. In 2008, she was awarded the prestigious Léonie Sonning Music Prize, which is considered one of the most prestigious music awards in Denmark. The award recognized Norholt's exceptional talent and contribution to the music industry, and it helped to cement her status as one of Denmark's most celebrated classical music artists. In addition to her work as an opera and concert singer, Norholt is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. She has taught voice at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Aarhus Conservatory, and she has worked with numerous young singers to help them develop their skills and pursue their dreams in the music industry. Despite her many accomplishments, Norholt remains humble and dedicated to her craft. She continues to perform regularly and to inspire others with her passion for music. Her talent, dedication, and hard work have made her one of Denmark's most beloved classical music artists, and she is sure to continue to make an impact on the music world for many years to come.More....
