Capucine Keller is a French classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent and musicality. Born in Strasbourg, France, in 1993, Keller began playing the piano at the age of four and quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument. She received her first piano lessons from her mother, who was a music teacher, and later studied with renowned pianists such as Jean-Marc Luisada and Boris Berman. Keller's musical education began at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, where she studied piano, chamber music, and music theory. She later continued her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she earned a Master's degree in piano performance with honors. During her studies, Keller won several awards and prizes, including the first prize at the International Piano Competition of Lagny-sur-Marne in 2010 and the first prize at the International Piano Competition of Brest in 2012. Keller's career as a concert pianist began in earnest in 2013, when she won the prestigious Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship, which allowed her to perform in some of the most renowned concert halls in Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, and the Vienna Musikverein. Since then, Keller has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States, collaborating with leading orchestras and conductors such as the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. One of Keller's most notable performances was her debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2017, where she performed a solo recital featuring works by Bach, Beethoven, and Schumann. The concert was highly praised by critics, who noted Keller's technical mastery and emotional depth. The New York Times called her performance "a revelation," while the Washington Post described her as "a pianist of rare sensitivity and intelligence." Keller's repertoire is wide-ranging and includes works from the Baroque to the contemporary period. She is particularly known for her interpretations of the music of Chopin, Schumann, and Debussy, and has recorded several albums featuring their works. Her recording of Chopin's complete Nocturnes, released in 2019, received critical acclaim and was named one of the best classical recordings of the year by several publications. In addition to her career as a performer, Keller is also a dedicated teacher and has given masterclasses at several music schools and festivals around the world. She is currently a professor of piano at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, where she herself began her musical education. Keller's talent and dedication have earned her numerous awards and honors throughout her career. In addition to the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship, she has received the Prix de la Fondation Meyer, the Prix de la Fondation Cziffra, and the Prix de la Fondation Banque Populaire. She was also a finalist at the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2015. Despite her young age, Capucine Keller has already established herself as one of the most promising pianists of her generation. Her technical virtuosity, musical sensitivity, and deep understanding of the repertoire have won her the admiration of audiences and critics alike.
