Larry Ransom was born on May 15, 1985, in New York City. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his mother being a pianist and his father a cellist. From a young age, Ransom showed a natural talent for music, and he began playing the piano at the age of four. Ransom's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue music seriously. He began taking piano lessons with renowned pianist and teacher, Maria Rodriguez, at the age of six. Under her guidance, Ransom quickly developed his skills and began performing in public at the age of eight. As a child, Ransom was exposed to a wide range of musical styles, but he was particularly drawn to classical music. He spent countless hours listening to recordings of great pianists such as Vladimir Horowitz, Arthur Rubinstein, and Glenn Gould.
