Blanka Juhanáková is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born on 12th May 1985 in Bratislava, Slovakia, Blanka showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Blanka's musical journey began at the Bratislava Conservatory, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Jozef Zsapka. She completed her studies at the conservatory with distinction and went on to study at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where she received her Master's degree in Piano Performance. During her studies, Blanka participated in several national and international competitions, winning numerous awards and accolades. In 2003, she won the first prize at the International Piano Competition in Brno, Czech Republic. This was followed by her victory at the International Piano Competition in Pinerolo, Italy, in 2005. Her exceptional talent and dedication to music were recognized when she was awarded the prestigious Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship in 2006. Blanka's talent and hard work paid off when she made her debut as a soloist with the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra in 2007. This was a significant milestone in her career, and she received critical acclaim for her performance. She went on to perform with several other orchestras, including the Prague Symphony Orchestra, the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. In 2010, Blanka was invited to perform at the prestigious Chopin Festival in Marianske Lazne, Czech Republic. This was a significant honor for her, as the festival is known for showcasing some of the world's best pianists. Her performance was well-received, and she was invited to perform at the festival again in 2012. Blanka's talent and dedication to music have earned her several awards and accolades throughout her career. In 2013, she was awarded the Slovak Music Fund Prize for her outstanding contribution to Slovak music. She was also awarded the Prize of the Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic in 2015. Apart from her solo performances, Blanka is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has collaborated with several renowned musicians, including violinist Peter Michalica and cellist Jozef Luptak. Together, they have performed at several prestigious music festivals, including the Prague Spring Festival and the Bratislava Music Festival. Blanka is also a dedicated teacher and has been teaching piano at the Bratislava Conservatory since 2010.
