He was a violinist, conductor, and founder of the Slovak Chamber Orchestra. Danel was born into a family of musicians, and his father was a well-known violinist in Slovakia. He began playing the violin at the age of six and showed exceptional talent from an early age. Danel studied at the Bratislava Conservatory and later at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He also studied with renowned violinists such as David Oistrakh and Henryk Szeryng. After completing his studies, Danel began his career as a soloist and chamber musician. He performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States, and was highly regarded for his technical skill and musicality. In 1979, Danel founded the Slovak Chamber Orchestra, which quickly gained international recognition for its high-quality performances. The orchestra performed regularly throughout Europe and Asia, and also toured the United States several times. Danel served as the orchestra's conductor and artistic director, and under his leadership, the orchestra became one of the most respected chamber ensembles in the world. Danel was also a highly respected teacher, and he taught at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava for many years. He was known for his dedication to his students and his ability to inspire them to achieve their full potential. Many of his students went on to have successful careers as soloists and chamber musicians. Throughout his career, Danel received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to classical music. In 1996, he was awarded the Order of the White Double Cross, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a citizen of Slovakia. He was also awarded the Medal of Honor by the Slovak Ministry of Culture, and was named an Honorary Citizen of Bratislava.
