Peter Minkler is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born on August 22, 1965, in Los Angeles, California, and grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist, which exposed him to music at an early age. Minkler started playing the viola at the age of nine and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. He attended the Colburn School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, where he studied with violist Paul Coletti. He later went on to study at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he was a student of Michael Tree, the founding member of the Guarneri Quartet.
