Mishka Rushdie Momen is a British-Bangladeshi pianist who has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent and musicality. Born in London in 1992, Momen grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to classical music from a young age. Her mother, a pianist, and her father, a composer, encouraged her to pursue music and provided her with the necessary resources to develop her skills. Momen began playing the piano at the age of three and quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument. She started taking formal lessons at the age of five and was soon performing in public. By the time she was a teenager, Momen had won numerous competitions and had established herself as a rising star in the classical music world. In 2008, Momen was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree with First Class Honours. During her time at the Academy, she studied with renowned pianists such as Christopher Elton and Joanna MacGregor and performed in numerous concerts and recitals. After completing her undergraduate studies, Momen continued her education at the Royal Academy of Music, where she earned a Master of Music degree with Distinction. She also received the prestigious DipRAM award, which is given to outstanding students who demonstrate exceptional performance skills. Momen's talent and hard work have earned her numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. In 2014, she was named a BBC New Generation Artist, which is a prestigious honor given to young musicians who show exceptional promise. She has also been awarded the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship and the Hattori Foundation Award, among others. Momen has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. She has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Vladimir Ashkenazy, and Marin Alsop, and has performed with leading orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. One of Momen's most notable performances was her debut at the BBC Proms in 2015, where she performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
