She was the daughter of a prominent Czech composer, Alois Hába, who was known for his microtonal music. Her father's influence played a significant role in her musical upbringing, and she began playing the piano at a young age. Tauberova's talent was evident from an early age, and she went on to study at the Prague Conservatory, where she received a degree in piano performance. She continued her studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where she studied under the renowned pianist and pedagogue, František Maxián. In 1952, Tauberova made her debut as a soloist with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. Her performance was met with critical acclaim, and she quickly established herself as one of the leading pianists of her generation. Over the course of her career, Tauberova performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. She was known for her virtuosic technique and her ability to bring out the emotional depth of the music she played. Her repertoire was vast, ranging from the classical works of Bach and Mozart to the modern compositions of her father and other contemporary composers. One of the highlights of Tauberova's career was her performance at the 1956 Prague Spring International Music Festival. She performed the world premiere of her father's Piano Concerto No. 3, which was written specifically for her. The performance was a resounding success, and the concerto went on to become one of her signature pieces. Tauberova also had a successful recording career, with many of her performances being released on LP and CD. Her recordings of Beethoven's Piano Concertos and Mozart's Piano Sonatas are considered to be some of the finest interpretations of these works. Throughout her career, Tauberova received numerous awards and honors for her contributions to classical music. In 1965, she was awarded the title of Merited Artist by the Czechoslovak government, and in 1979, she was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor by the Soviet Union. Tauberova continued to perform and teach until her death on December 28, 2003, in Prague.
