European Music Project (EMP) is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2005 by a group of young musicians who shared a passion for performing and promoting classical music. The ensemble is based in Europe and has gained a reputation for its innovative and dynamic performances that blend traditional classical music with contemporary styles. The founding members of EMP were all graduates of some of the most prestigious music schools in Europe, including the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. They were united by a desire to create a new kind of classical music ensemble that would appeal to a wider audience and showcase the versatility and beauty of classical music. The main members of EMP are violinist and artistic director Maria Kliegel, cellist and managing director Jan Vogler, pianist and composer Fazil Say, and conductor and composer Kristjan Järvi. These four musicians are the driving force behind the ensemble and have been instrumental in shaping its unique sound and style. EMP has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals in Europe and around the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Salzburg Festival, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. The ensemble has also collaborated with some of the most renowned musicians and conductors in the classical music world, including Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, and Zubin Mehta. One of the highlights of EMP's career was its performance at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where the ensemble was invited to perform at the opening ceremony.
