Ensemble Orlando Fribourg is a classical music ensemble based in Fribourg, Switzerland. The ensemble was founded in 2005 by a group of musicians who shared a passion for chamber music and a desire to bring their art to a wider audience. The founding members of Ensemble Orlando Fribourg were violinist Anne-Catherine Bucher, violist David Schnee, cellist François Grin, and pianist Cédric Pescia. All four musicians were accomplished performers with extensive experience in chamber music, and they quickly established a reputation for their technical skill and musical sensitivity. Over the years, Ensemble Orlando Fribourg has expanded its membership to include a number of other talented musicians, but the core group of Bucher, Schnee, Grin, and Pescia remains at the heart of the ensemble. Together, they have performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls and festivals, earning critical acclaim and numerous awards along the way. One of the highlights of Ensemble Orlando Fribourg's career was their performance at the 2008 Lucerne Festival. The festival is one of the most important events in the classical music calendar, and the ensemble's appearance there was a testament to their growing reputation as one of the most exciting and innovative chamber music groups in Europe. Another major achievement for Ensemble Orlando Fribourg was their 2012 recording of Schubert's "Trout" Quintet. The recording was praised by critics for its technical precision and emotional depth, and it helped to cement the ensemble's reputation as one of the leading interpreters of Schubert's music.
