Bram Beekman was a Dutch classical music artist who was born on October 19, 1949, in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He was a renowned organist, composer, and conductor who was known for his exceptional skills and contributions to the world of classical music. Beekman's love for music began at a young age, and he started playing the piano when he was just six years old. He later switched to the organ, which became his primary instrument. He studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory, where he received his diploma in organ performance in 1972. He continued his studies at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where he studied with Piet Kee, one of the most prominent Dutch organists of the 20th century. Beekman's career as a musician began in 1972 when he was appointed as the organist of the Grote Kerk in Dordrecht, Netherlands. He held this position for over 40 years until his retirement in 2013. During his tenure, he played on the famous Bätz-Witte organ, which was built in 1859 and is considered one of the most important organs in the Netherlands.
