Pere Bardagi was born on May 12, 1985, in Barcelona, Spain. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Bardagi showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Bardagi's parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Alicia de Larrocha. Bardagi's talent and dedication to his craft quickly became apparent, and he began to receive recognition for his performances. In 2003, Bardagi won first prize in the prestigious Maria Canals International Piano Competition, which launched his career as a professional musician. He went on to perform in some of the world's most renowned concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Bardagi's repertoire includes works by some of the greatest composers in classical music, including Beethoven, Chopin, and Mozart. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Spanish composers, such as Isaac Albéniz and Manuel de Falla. In addition to his solo performances, Bardagi has collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also worked with some of the most respected conductors in the industry, including Sir Simon Rattle and Daniel Barenboim. Bardagi's talent has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In addition to his win at the Maria Canals International Piano Competition, he has received the Premi Nacional de Cultura de Catalunya and the Premi Ciutat de Barcelona. Despite his success, Bardagi remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to perform and record, and is committed to sharing his love of classical music with audiences around the world.
