Edita Keglerová was born on May 5, 1985, in Bratislava, Slovakia. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Keglerová showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Keglerová's musical education began at the Bratislava Conservatory, where she studied under the guidance of renowned violinist Jozef Kopelman. She later continued her studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where she received her master's degree in violin performance. Throughout her career, Keglerová has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Czech Philharmonic, the Slovak Philharmonic, and the Prague Symphony Orchestra. She has also collaborated with many renowned conductors, such as Jiří Bělohlávek, Jakub Hrůša, and Ondrej Lenárd. One of Keglerová's most notable performances was her solo debut with the Czech Philharmonic at the age of 18. She performed the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Dmitri Shostakovich, which received critical acclaim and established her as a rising star in the classical music world. In addition to her solo performances, Keglerová is also an active chamber musician. She has performed with many esteemed ensembles, including the Smetana Trio and the Pavel Haas Quartet.
