Artist Info
Beran Harp was born on May 15, 1985, in Vienna, Austria. From a young age, he showed a keen interest in music, particularly the harp. His parents, both musicians themselves, recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion. At the age of six, Beran began taking harp lessons with renowned harpist, Maria Schmidt. Under her tutelage, he quickly developed his skills and began performing in local concerts and competitions. By the age of ten, he had won his first national harp competition, solidifying his place as a rising star in the classical music world. Beran continued to hone his craft throughout his teenage years, studying under various harpists and attending music schools in Vienna and Paris. He also began to expand his repertoire, exploring different genres of music and experimenting with his own compositions. In 2004, Beran was invited to perform at the prestigious Salzburg Festival, one of the most renowned classical music festivals in the world. His performance was met with critical acclaim, and he was soon invited to perform at other major festivals and venues across Europe and the United States. Over the years, Beran has become known for his virtuosic harp playing and his ability to bring new life to classical compositions. He has collaborated with some of the world's most renowned orchestras and conductors, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and Sir Simon Rattle. In addition to his performances, Beran has also received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to the classical music world. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Echo Klassik award for his album, "Harp Concertos," which featured his own compositions as well as works by other composers. Beran has also been recognized for his philanthropic work, particularly his efforts to promote music education in underprivileged communities. He has established several music programs in schools and community centers across Europe and the United States, and has donated a portion of his concert proceeds to various music charities. Despite his success, Beran remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to push the boundaries of classical music, experimenting with new sounds and styles while staying true to the traditions of the genre. His passion for music and his commitment to sharing it with others have made him one of the most beloved and respected harpists of his generation.More....
