This was followed by a commission from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to write a piece for their "Two New Hours" program. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Beauvais continued to compose and perform, gaining a reputation as one of Canada's leading composers for the guitar. His works were performed by some of Canada's top musicians, including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Canadian Chamber Ensemble, and the Canadian Guitar Quartet. One of Beauvais' most significant works is his "Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra," which was premiered by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in 1992. It has since been performed by orchestras around the world, including the Moscow Symphony Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. In addition to his classical compositions, Beauvais has also written music for film and television.
