Ensemble J.M. Anciuti is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2005 by a group of musicians who shared a passion for Baroque music. The ensemble takes its name from the Italian composer and violinist Giovanni Maria Anciuti, who was active in the early 18th century. The founding members of Ensemble J.M. Anciuti were all graduates of prestigious music schools in Europe and North America, and had performed with some of the world's leading orchestras and ensembles. They came together with the goal of exploring the rich and varied repertoire of Baroque music, and of bringing this music to audiences around the world. The ensemble's main members are violinists Maria Antonia Garcia and David Kim, violist Anna Maria Rodriguez, cellist Carlos Hernandez, and harpsichordist Juan Carlos Martinez. All of these musicians are highly skilled and experienced performers, with a deep understanding of the nuances and complexities of Baroque music. Over the years, Ensemble J.M. Anciuti has performed at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls and festivals, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Salzburg Festival. The ensemble has also collaborated with many of the world's leading soloists and conductors, including Jordi Savall, Philippe Herreweghe, and Ton Koopman. One of the highlights of Ensemble J.M. Anciuti's career was their performance at the 2010 Bachfest Leipzig, where they were invited to perform Bach's Brandenburg Concertos. The ensemble's performance was widely praised for its energy, precision, and musicality, and helped to establish them as one of the leading Baroque ensembles of their generation. In addition to their performances, Ensemble J.M. Anciuti has also recorded several critically acclaimed albums, including a recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations and a collection of Italian Baroque music. Their recordings have been praised for their technical excellence and their ability to capture the spirit and emotion of the music. Ensemble J.M. Anciuti has received numerous awards and accolades over the years, including the Gramophone Award for Best Baroque Instrumental Recording in 2012. The ensemble has also been praised for their commitment to education and outreach, and has worked with schools and community organizations around the world to promote the appreciation and understanding of Baroque music. Today, Ensemble J.M. Anciuti continues to be one of the most respected and admired Baroque ensembles in the world. With their passion for music, their technical excellence, and their commitment to bringing the music of the past to new audiences, they are sure to remain a fixture of the classical music world for many years to come.
