Birth:June 24, 1985 in Yerevan, ArmeniaLilit Grigoryan is a renowned classical pianist who has captivated audiences around the world with her virtuosic performances and deep musicality. Born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1988, Grigoryan showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of six. She quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument, and her parents enrolled her in the Tchaikovsky Music School in Yerevan, where she received rigorous training in both piano performance and music theory. Grigoryan's talent was recognized early on, and she began competing in local and regional piano competitions at a young age. She won her first competition at the age of eight, and went on to win numerous awards and accolades throughout her childhood and teenage years. In 2003, she was awarded first prize at the Arno Babajanyan International Piano Competition in Yerevan, cementing her reputation as one of Armenia's most promising young musicians. After completing her studies at the Tchaikovsky Music School, Grigoryan went on to study at the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan, where she received a Bachelor's degree in piano performance. She continued her studies at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, one of the world's most prestigious music schools, where she earned a Master's degree in piano performance under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue Eliso Virsaladze. Grigoryan's talent and hard work paid off in 2010, when she won first prize at the Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona, Spain. This was a major milestone in her career, as the Maria Canals Competition is one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world, and has launched the careers of many of today's top pianists. Since winning the Maria Canals Competition, Grigoryan has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas, appearing as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras and conductors. She has also been a frequent guest at major music festivals, including the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, the Ravinia Festival in the United States, and the Chopin Festival in Poland. Grigoryan's repertoire is wide-ranging and includes works by many of the great composers of the classical and romantic eras, as well as contemporary composers. She is particularly known for her interpretations of the music of Frederic Chopin, and has been praised for her ability to bring out the emotional depth and nuance of his music. In addition to her performing career, Grigoryan is also a dedicated teacher and mentor to young musicians. She has taught masterclasses at music schools and festivals around the world, and is committed to passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation of pianists. Throughout her career, Grigoryan has received numerous awards and honors for her contributions to the world of classical music. In addition to her first prize at the Maria Canals Competition, she has been awarded the Aram Khachaturian Medal by the Armenian Ministry of Culture, and has been named a UNESCO Artist for Peace.
