Mihaela Ungureanu is a Romanian classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a pianist and music educator. Born on December 12, 1979, in Bucharest, Romania, Mihaela showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Mihaela's musical education began at the George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Carmen Piață. She continued her studies at the National University of Music in Bucharest, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. She then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Piano Performance at the same institution. Throughout her education, Mihaela participated in numerous competitions and festivals, winning several awards and accolades. In 1997, she won first prize at the National Piano Competition in Romania, and in 2000, she was awarded the Grand Prize at the International Piano Competition in Sinaia, Romania. Her talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and she quickly established herself as a rising star in the classical music world. After completing her studies, Mihaela began performing professionally, both as a soloist and as a member of various chamber music ensembles. She has performed in numerous concerts and recitals throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, showcasing her exceptional talent and musicianship. Some of her most notable performances include a solo recital at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, a performance with the Bucharest Philharmonic Orchestra, and a concert at the Carnegie Hall in New York City. She has taught piano at the National University of Music in Bucharest and has served as a guest lecturer at various universities and music schools around the world.
