The Szymanowski State Philharmonic Choir is a renowned classical music ensemble based in Krakow, Poland. The choir was founded in 1945, shortly after the end of World War II, and has since become one of the most respected and celebrated choirs in Europe. The choir was named after the famous Polish composer Karol Szymanowski, who was born in Tymoszówka, Ukraine in 1882. Szymanowski was a prolific composer who is widely regarded as one of the most important figures in 20th-century classical music. His works are known for their innovative use of harmony, rhythm, and melody, and he is particularly celebrated for his contributions to the development of Polish music. The Szymanowski State Philharmonic Choir was established with the aim of promoting and performing the works of Szymanowski and other Polish composers.
