Michael Bochmann is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born on 22nd May 1952 in London, England. Bochmann grew up in a family of musicians, and his father was a professional violinist. He started playing the violin at a young age and showed exceptional talent in music. Bochmann received his early education at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied under the guidance of renowned violinists such as Frederick Grinke and Emanuel Hurwitz. He later continued his studies at the Juilliard School in New York, where he was mentored by Ivan Galamian. Bochmann's career as a professional musician began in the 1970s when he joined the London Symphony Orchestra as a violinist. He quickly established himself as a talented musician and was soon promoted to the position of leader of the second violins. During his time with the orchestra, Bochmann performed in numerous concerts and recordings, including the soundtrack for the movie "Star Wars." Bochmann's repertoire includes a wide range of classical music, from Baroque to contemporary. He has a particular interest in the music of British composers and has performed many works by composers such as Elgar, Vaughan Williams, and Britten. Bochmann has also premiered many new works by contemporary composers, including John Tavener and Michael Berkeley. In addition to his career as a performer, Bochmann is also a respected music educator. He has taught at many institutions, including the Royal Academy of Music, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and the Purcell School for Young Musicians.
