Joanne Borts is a Canadian-born classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the world of musical theater. Born in Toronto, Canada, in 1960, Borts grew up in a family that was passionate about music. Her mother was a pianist, and her father was a singer, so it was only natural that Borts would develop an interest in music at a young age. Borts began her musical training at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where she studied classical voice. She later went on to study at the University of Toronto, where she earned a degree in music.
