François du Toit is a renowned classical pianist from South Africa. He was born on 22nd September 1961 in Cape Town, South Africa. François grew up in a family of musicians, and his father was a well-known conductor and composer. François started playing the piano at a young age and showed exceptional talent from the beginning. François received his early music education at the University of Cape Town, where he studied under the guidance of Lamar Crowson. He later went on to study at the Royal College of Music in London, where he was awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Scholarship. François also studied with renowned pianists such as Maria João Pires, Leon Fleisher, and Murray Perahia. François has won numerous awards and accolades throughout his career.
