Sebu Sirinian is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born in 1985 in Los Angeles, California, Sebu showed an early interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of four. His parents, both of Armenian descent, were supportive of his musical pursuits and encouraged him to pursue his passion. Sebu's talent was evident from an early age, and he quickly became known for his exceptional skill on the violin. He began performing in public at the age of six and soon gained a reputation as a prodigy. He continued to hone his skills throughout his childhood and adolescence, studying with some of the most renowned violinists of the time. In 2003, Sebu was accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the tutelage of Itzhak Perlman. During his time at Juilliard, Sebu continued to impress audiences with his virtuosity and musicality. He won numerous awards and accolades, including the Juilliard Concerto Competition and the Dorothy DeLay Scholarship. After graduating from Juilliard in 2007, Sebu embarked on a successful career as a soloist and chamber musician. He has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. He has also collaborated with many of the most celebrated conductors of our time, including Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, and Simon Rattle. Sebu's repertoire is vast and varied, encompassing works from the Baroque era to the present day. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven, and has recorded several critically acclaimed albums of their music. He is also a champion of contemporary music and has premiered works by many of today's leading composers. In addition to his work as a soloist, Sebu is also an active chamber musician. He has performed with some of the world's leading ensembles, including the Emerson String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. He is a founding member of the Sirinian Trio, which has gained a reputation for its innovative programming and virtuosic performances. Sebu's talent and dedication to his craft have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2010, he was awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant, one of the most prestigious awards in classical music. He has also been a recipient of the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship and the Gilmore Young Artist Award. Despite his many accomplishments, Sebu remains humble and dedicated to his art. He continues to perform regularly and is committed to sharing his love of music with audiences around the world. His passion for music is infectious, and his performances are always a joy to behold.
