Born in Montreal in 1985, Forget began playing the piano at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. She studied with several renowned teachers in Canada and Europe, including Marc Durand, Dang Thai Son, and Boris Berman, and earned degrees from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, the Université de Montréal, and the Yale School of Music. Throughout her career, Forget has been praised for her technical precision, expressive phrasing, and deep musical understanding. She has performed as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the National Arts Centre Orchestra, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. She has also given recitals in major concert halls and festivals around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Salzburg Festival, and the Ravinia Festival. One of Forget's most notable performances was her debut with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra in 2005, where she played Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 to critical acclaim. The Montreal Gazette praised her "impeccable technique and musicality," while La Presse called her "a pianist of exceptional talent and sensitivity." Since then, Forget has continued to perform Rachmaninoff's music with great success, including a recording of his complete Preludes for the Analekta label. In addition to her performances as a soloist, Forget is also an active chamber musician and collaborator. She has worked with many distinguished artists, including cellist Yo-Yo Ma, violinist Joshua Bell, and soprano Renée Fleming. She is a founding member of the Trio Saint-Laurent, which has been praised for its "exquisite balance and blend" by the Toronto Star, and has recorded several albums with the group. Forget has received numerous awards and honors throughout her career. In 2006, she won the prestigious Virginia Parker Prize from the Canada Council for the Arts, which recognizes outstanding young Canadian musicians. She was also a laureate of the Montreal International Musical Competition in 2008, where she won the People's Choice Award and the prize for Best Canadian Artist. In 2012, she was named a Steinway Artist, joining a select group of pianists who are endorsed by the renowned piano manufacturer.
