Richard Singer was born on May 15, 1985, in New York City. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Singer was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Singer's talent was evident from an early age, and he quickly became a prodigy. He began performing in public at the age of six and was soon invited to perform at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. By the age of ten, Singer had won several competitions and was recognized as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. Singer continued to hone his skills and develop his repertoire throughout his teenage years. He studied with some of the most renowned piano teachers in the world, including Vladimir Horowitz's former teacher, Mieczyslaw Munz. Singer's dedication and hard work paid off, and he won several more competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Moscow and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. In 2005, Singer made his debut with the New York Philharmonic, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5.
