Nancy Boston was born on May 12, 1985, in New York City. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Nancy showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As Nancy grew older, she became more and more passionate about classical music. She began studying under some of the most renowned piano teachers in the world, including Martha Argerich and Vladimir Ashkenazy. Her dedication and hard work paid off, and she quickly became recognized as one of the most promising young pianists of her generation. Nancy's first major performance came when she was just 16 years old. She was invited to perform at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City, where she played a selection of pieces by Chopin, Beethoven, and Liszt. The performance was a huge success, and Nancy received a standing ovation from the audience. Over the years, Nancy continued to perform at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Sydney Opera House. She also collaborated with some of the most renowned orchestras in the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Nancy's talent and hard work were recognized by the music industry, and she received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. In 2005, she was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is given to outstanding young musicians who show exceptional promise. She was also awarded the Gilmore Young Artist Award in 2006, which is given to pianists who show exceptional talent and promise. Despite her success, Nancy remained humble and dedicated to her craft. She continued to practice for hours every day, always striving to improve her technique and interpretation of the music. She also remained committed to sharing her love of classical music with others, and often gave masterclasses and workshops to young musicians. Sadly, Nancy's career was cut short when she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2010. Despite undergoing extensive treatment, she passed away on June 15, 2012, at the age of 27. Her death was a great loss to the classical music world, but her legacy lives on through her recordings and the countless musicians she inspired throughout her career.
