She was the youngest of three children and grew up in a family that was passionate about music. Her father was a music teacher, and her mother was a singer, so it was no surprise that Ruby developed an interest in music at a young age. Ruby started playing the piano when she was just five years old, and by the time she was eight, she was already performing in public. Her talent was evident from an early age, and her parents encouraged her to pursue a career in music. They enrolled her in the National Conservatory of Music in Haiti, where she studied piano, music theory, and composition. In 2005, when Ruby was 15 years old, she moved to the United States with her family. They settled in New York City, where Ruby continued her music education at the Juilliard School. She studied under some of the most renowned piano teachers in the world, including Emanuel Ax and Yoheved Kaplinsky. During her time at Juilliard, Ruby won several awards and competitions. In 2008, she won the Juilliard Concerto Competition, which gave her the opportunity to perform with the Juilliard Orchestra. She also won the Gina Bachauer Piano Competition in 2010, which is one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world. After graduating from Juilliard in 2012, Ruby began performing professionally. She made her debut at Carnegie Hall in 2013, where she performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the New York Youth Symphony. The performance was a huge success, and Ruby received rave reviews from critics. Over the years, Ruby has performed with some of the most renowned orchestras in the world, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In addition to her performances, Ruby is also a dedicated music educator. She has taught piano at the Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music, and she has also given masterclasses around the world. She is passionate about sharing her love of music with others and inspiring the next generation of musicians. Throughout her career, Ruby has received numerous awards and accolades. In 2015, she was named a Steinway Artist, which is one of the highest honors a pianist can receive. She was also awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2016, which is given to outstanding young musicians who show exceptional talent and promise. In 2019, Ruby released her debut album, which featured works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Debussy. The album received critical acclaim and was praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth.
