In 2012, Hindoyan was appointed the principal conductor of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Guayaquil in Ecuador. He held this position until 2018, when he was appointed the principal guest conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Hindoyan has also conducted several opera productions, including La Traviata, Carmen, and Don Giovanni. He made his debut at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera in 2014, conducting a production of La Finta Giardiniera.
